Research Data Dutch Mammal Society's Field Study Group published
The Dutch Mammal Society's field study group is committed to acquiring more knowledge and information concerning mammal sightings and observations. Each year, the group organises a field study camp somewhere in Europe, carries out a survey of the area and tests new observation methods.
The observations made during these study camps are conscientiously recorded in a research database. In 2012, this database was published by NLBIF and the field study group. Data from nine summer camps (starting from 2003) have been made available through the GBIF data portal, allowing local authorities and organisations to make use of the knowledge developed by the field study group.
