    • Safer and Sounder zal de bestaande Camera Trap Data Package (Camtrap DP) standaard uitbreiden voor bio-akoestische data.

    Bio-akoestische data wordt steeds meer verzameld, maar uitwisseling en publicatie naar Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) worden sterk bemoeilijkt door het ontbreken van een breed gedragen standaard. Dankzij een eerder pilootproject Safe and Sound weten we dat de vraag naar deze standaard groot is en ligt de inhoudelijke basis al klaar.

    In dit project streven we via openbare discussies op GitHub community-consensus te bereiken over de nodige aanpassingen aan de standaard. Om adoptie te bevorderen, zullen we essentiële softwaretools aanpassen voor Camtrap DP v2, waaronder camtrapdp, Agouti, GBIF IPT en Wild Album. Het eindresultaat is in een nieuwe versie van Camtrap DP (v2) die bio-akoestische data volledig ondersteunt.
